Tyre and Sidon were mentioned many times in the Bible. They were both ancient cities of Phoenicia. They were both not conquered by the Israelites. However, they served other gods and the old testament has several prophecies that predicted their destruction (Isaiah 23; Jeremiah 25; 27; 47; Ezekiel 26–28; Joel 3; Amos 1:9–10; Zechariah 9:1–4), and these prophecies eventually came to pass.

In the new testament, Jesus mentioned Tyre and Sidon as unrepentant cities in Matthew 11:20-24 and Luke 10:13-14, stating that if his mighty works had been done there, the people of the city would have repented.

Tyre and Sidon were two powerful Phoenician cities. There are Old Testament prophasis about the cities. Jesus preached and performed miracles for the gentiles of Tyre and Sidon (Mark 3:7-8 and Luke 10:13-14) but they still chosen not to repent. Jesus used these pagan cities as an example of people who rejected God and were punished.
